Auction: Coins & Banknotes, 20th Nov, 2024

Our November specialist Coins and Banknotes sale will feature a good range of coins to appeal to collectors of all fields. From Celtic staters to modern Royal Mint issues and everything in between. There is a small but significant collection of hammered gold coins, some in excellent condition and seldom offered at auction.

One of the highlights of the selection is a fantastic Henry VI, Anglo-Gallic salut d’or, struck at Rouen, Normandy in the first half of the 15th century, the coin is in excellent condition with the devices clear and well stuck. A wonderful Henry VIII, first coinage angel adds further appeal to the hammered section, especially in such a well-preserved state.

Enthusiasts of more modern Royal Mint proof coinage will not be disappointed with a large offering of both gold and silver boxed sets and coins. In addition, there is a sizeable offering of sovereigns and silver proof coinage.

We look forward to welcoming you either in person or online on the 20th of November.

LOTS 198- 329, Post-1850 gold coins & bullion, will have a commission rate of 15.0% + VAT (18.0% in total)
