The world's first postage booklet available to the public, produced for commercial purposes by the Stamp Distribution Syndicate in 1891, sealed intact in cream paper envelope with punch holes and 'SDS' perfin tab, the woven cover inscribed 'Memoranda'. One of the rarest domestic booklets and this certainly one of the finest extant, with just a few small breaks at edge of the fragile wrapper. Cat. £9,000.
