George Buday (1907-1990) Hungarian 'I Visualised the Holy Family, as they Once Fled from Egypt' Signed in pencil and dated 'Rome' 1937, inscribed and numbered 19/50, woodblock print, together with nine further woodblock prints by the artist, 'Mary Magdalene', 'The Accursed Cities', 'The Rich Young Man', 'Salome', 'Annunciation', 'Nicodemus', 'The Baptism of Jesus', 'Walking Upon the Sea', 'So Long a Time Have I Been With You, and Thou Dost Not Know Me', each signed, inscribed and numbered from an edition of 50, 12cm by 9cm and various other sizes (10) (all unframed)
Provenance: Gifted by the artist to the present vendor's father, they became friends whilst working together at Bletchley Park during World War II.
