The surface is slightly flattened as a result of the restoration process. Sporadic retouches throughout sky which have deteriated and are evident by eye. Further minimal retouching in the water below and left far left-hand side rowing boat. Minor retouching upper left-hand corner. The majority of the remaining composition is seemingly without notable intervention. Areas of fine stable cracquelure, slight stretcher shadow, minor rubbing to outer edges.
