An Impressive Large Organ Trumpeter Black Forest Shelf Clock, signed Em Wehrle & Cie, Furtwangen, Baden, circa 1870, the case carved with stags, bird and leaf work around the front, front aperture revealing a trumpeter, case back box with sloping top and side sound fret opening doors, 6-1/2-inch dial with applied ivorine Roman numerals, the massive twin barrel movement with striking on a gong for the hours and followed by an organ playing through six horns, two large bellows located on top of the movement with maker's labels Em Wehrle & Cie, Furtwangen, Baden, 87cm high

27.06.11, Case with losses to the carved bezel surround, case back with chips to the edges, hands broken and missing, case back carved sides have come loose and need securing, left hand side of the front door which the trumpeter appears from is missing, trumpeter with damage and not corrected at present, movement appears to be clean and striking on the hours and the organ appears to be functioning, movement with two horns missing and should be eight in total, clock needs restoration.
