In restored condition, relined, cleaned, and revarnished. Some slight surface dirt and discoloured varnish. Minor rubbing to outer edges, very slight stretcher shadow. Some general retouching to outer edges, a patch of more consistent retouching background above and right of the game feathers upper right with further strengthening and retouching through the background in general. Retouching and strengthening to the tiles immediately below the vegetation approx centre-left. The shadows and dark areas immediately below the pheasant cock has been retouched in addition to, and to a lesser extent the odd patch lower right foreground. Some of the general shadowing across the plumage of the birds has likely received some strengthening. A small amount of tiny-sized white specks within the upper background. Otherwise in a stable state of presentation.
