Has undergone considerable restoration, with some surface dirt and discoloration to the varnish. There is no obvious signature. Considerable cracquelure throughout, with paint lifting in places. Possibly re-lined. Re-painting/restoration visible on the neck, shoulder, sleeve, hand etc Restoration clear to naked eye due to discoloration of paint. Large cracquelure, fragments to the right hand side. Some areas of paint loss centre right beside the frame and along the lower edge of the painting. Not examined out of the frame, Not examined under a uv light. Overall condition fair to poor, but relatively consistent with age and following a course of restoration which is now in need improvement
