This work is the first maquette for children of Glasgow fountain. The 'Children of Glasgow' Fountain was commissioned by the Royal Bank of Scotland in 1987 as their contribution to the Glasgow Garden Festival of 1988 and as a gift to the City of Glasgow as a permanent memorial to commemorate two hundred years of the Bank's involvement in the commercial and industrial life of the City
