A Charles II Silver Scissors-Case, Makers Mark WI, Possibly With a Fish Above, Circa 1680, engraved with foliage scrolls within stiff-leaf borders and populated by birds, with metal latch mechanism and suspension loop, 12cm long, 16dwt
A very similar example, though with engraved putto in place of the engraved birds which appear on the present example was sold Woolley and Wallis, Salisbury, 25 January 2011, lot 20. It was also marked with maker's mark only, described as 'W.I with a fish above.'
