Taxidermy: A Victorian Cased Northern Pike (Esox lucius), circa 1871-1876, by Peter Spicer, Taxidermy, 10 Victoria Terrace, Leamington, a large skin mount preserved and mounted within a naturalistic setting amidst reeds and grasses, set above a rock and pebbled river bed, mounted against a watercolour painted back drop, enclosed within a period three-glass flat fronted display case, 123cm by 18cm by 48cm, a trade mark signed pebble to interior lower left - "Peter Spicer, Leamington", bearing partial paper trade label to verso.

Body of the Pike is slightly sagging away from the back drop, case in good condition, all glass good, trade label to verso damaged, 17/09/22
