Taxidermy: A Victorian Cased Northern Pike (Esox lucius), circa 1871-1876, by Peter Spicer, Taxidermy, 10 Victoria Terrace, Leamington, a large skin mount preserved and mounted within a naturalistic setting amidst reeds and grasses, set above a rock and pebbled river bed, mounted against a watercolour painted back drop, enclosed within a period three-glass flat fronted display case, 123cm by 18cm by 48cm, a trade mark signed pebble to interior lower left - "Peter Spicer, Leamington", bearing partial paper trade label to verso.
