Faraday (Michael) Autograph Letter Signed from Faraday at the Royal Institution to Lord Dundas, 23rd April, 1819, discussing the results of his analysis of salts sent by Lord Dundas, these included aluminate of potash, sulphate of potash and sulphate of lime, one page, folded with worn edges Wallich [Nathaniel], List of Plants put up in a covered Chest for Lord Dundas, 10th December, 1818, Botanic Garden, Calcutta, two page manuscript list of species, 'Put up at the request of and forwarded by Capt. Jackson of the Charles Mills', sources of the plants include Mauritius, Napal [sic] and China, torn at folds and edge; Ledger, believed to record the trading of the New Moor Pottery of Evenwood, Bishop Auckland, [c1877-1887], customers for garden pots, etc., include the Duke of Cleveland, John Bowes at Streatlam, the Bishop of Durham and Sussex Milbank of Barningham, ledger in distressed state with torn pages, pencil scribbles and detached boards. Recent research on the pottery is included. (3)
