A Chinese Carnelian Agate Double Vase, Qing Dynasty, 18th/19th century, carved as a tree trunk with fruiting peach branches and lingzhi flanked by a conical flowerhead, the reverse with a bat

A related double carp vase was in the collection of the late Countess Mountbatten of Burma, another in the Palace Museum, Beijing is illustrated in Gugong Bowuyuan Idai Wishuguan Cenpiepin Tumu, pl.1314

Numerous small rim chips and flakes around the vase openings. Numerous internal and surface cracks that appear to be natural. The vase has been bonded to the plinth.
