An Extremely Rare Schaub-Lorenz 'Music-Center' 5001, Recording-Radio Set

early 1960s, with 26 transistor boards, 3-band receiver, circular A-O indexing dial and linear record rate/capacity scale, light grey control panel, in light walnut veneered cabinet, with instruction manual.

This super-advanced set allows the user to record live radio, rewind and playback. A forerunner of the current digital service in operation today, this transistor-only analogue set is remarkably ahead of its time. Few were made, few were sold due to cost and even fewer have survived, especially in this superb condition.
