A British 1805 Pattern Naval Officer's Sword, the 81.5cm single edge fullered steel blade bearing traces of foliate engraved decoration, the gilt brass stirrup hilt with a fouled anchor engraved to each langet, with fluted backstrap, oval pommel and copper wire bound fishskin grip, the black leather scabbard with gilt brass mounts, 94.5cm

The blade has some pitting and has been overcleaned, only traces of engraved decoration which was probably gilt on a blued field. The hilt is good. The scabbard mounts are rather loose and there is a crease to the leather above the chape. The gilding is worn.
