Scabbard bright with no dents. Number on blade does not correspond with any other marks. Hilt very poor quality as is locking clip. Blade with considerable surface rust. Blade 71.5cm. Scabbard 74.5cm. Hard to say whether the blade is earlier, but the hilt fittings and the scabbard appear to be late 20th century. The scabbard is chromium plated. The scabbard is stamped '40558' on the mouthpiece (see images)
