American Steel A collection of books on the US steel industry from the men the built it to the methods they used. It includes important works such as the British Iron Trade's 1902 report on Americal Industrial Conditions and Competition and Cope's 1890 guide to The Iron and Steel Interests of Chicago (with inserted maps) and a number of pamphlets, like Two Centuries of Iron Smelting in Pennsylvania (1921) and Modern American Blast Furnace Practice (1914). These books cover many of the great companies, such as Bethlehem and US Steel and cross the 20th-century from the glory days to the decline of the 80s.
