A Chinese Famille Verte Porcelain Large Jardinière, 19th century, the flat rim decorated with sprigs and butterflies, the shoulder with ruyi and lappet band enclosing peonies, the main frieze depicting pairs of birds and insects flitting amongst blossoming peony, chrysanthemum, magnolia and rocks, 36cm high, 40cm diameter; and An Associated Ebonised Wood Square Stand, 20.5cm high (2)

Some fairly heavy rubbing of the enamels on the flat rim and edge of the rim. Otherwise, apart from general wear and tear, the piece displays no cracks or chips, and the enamelling is generally good overall. Stand - probably not Oriental, maybe made of plywood and is in rather worn state. Sold a/f. 160511
