A Comprehensive Late Victorian Uniform to Lieutenant Colonel T M Sandys, 3rd (Militia) Battalion The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, contained in japanned tin trunk and comprising:- scarlet full dress tunic with white facings and cuffs, brass buttons, Austrian knots, bullion collar badges and rank badges to the shoulder cords; two crimson sashes; two crimson morocco and gold lace waist belts with sword slings; two white wool waistcoats with Austrian knots and brass ball buttons; two scarlet wool frocks; two buff silk waistcoats; a blue wool undress tunic; a buff cotton waistcoat; a blue wool patrol jacket with mohair braid and olivets; a scarlet mess dress jacket; two pairs of overalls; a pair of green wool over trousers; a pair of breeches; a glengarry; a field cap; a forage cap with cover in enclosed tin; other accoutrements including two pairs of chain spurs, two pairs of box spurs, two bread bags, sabretache, water canteen, ammunition bag, kid gloves, two buff sword knots and slings and a swagger stick
