A French Alabaster Figure Group of the Holy Family, in 14th century style, carved with the Madonna sitting on a stool wearing a headdress and flowing robes, the Christ Child standing on her left knee, on a shaped rectangular base
38cm high
The figure appears to have been broken through the middle and repaired. Two filled holes seem to suggest a previous staple repair. See images. The Plinth has substantial chips / losses to the rear corners and some further chipping around. Loss to the Madonnas right little finger and damage to the other. Child with loss to the left index finger. Natural crack across the Madonna's face. Slight loss to the crown.
