Fully marked near rim and further stamped underneath with maker's name. The marks are clear. There is some minor surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use.

Mike Wilks was born in London and studied at a junior art school before attending Croydon College of Art. After working as a graphic designer for several years he founded his own design company, which flourished and later allowed him to resign and concentrate on painting and drawing. After publishing a number of best-selling books, Wilks became the focus on an award-winning BBC arts documentary 'Mike Wilks - Making His Mark'. Since then, he has continued to write, paint and draw, and his works can be found in public and private collections in the UK, Europe and the USA.
