. The black wool jacket to the Surgeon Lieutenant has a small moth hole to the collar at the back, otherwise in good condition. One pair of the trousers has slight wear to the bias binding of the waist and the hem of each leg has perished along the fold; the other pair of trousers are good. The tailcoat has a tear to the lining of the right sleeve at the armhole, with further tears to the lining above the tail vent and the right side. There is some corrosion to the buttons and the gilt has worn to silver on the lace trim. There is a small moth hole and trail to the outer right breast; the matching trousers have two moth holes to the front left waist and another to the crotch, the two side buttons are rusted. The mess dress jacket has some staining to the armpits, otherwise in good condition, as is the waistcoat; the trousers have a small moth hole to the back seam. The coatee has some staining and signs of repair to the armholes, there is small stitch loss to the right tip of the rever collar, a moth hole to the left lower sleeve and the right front below the waist seam. The greatcoat has five original gilt buttons and seven replaced staybrite buttons. One button is missing from the back vent. There are two moth holes to the front left near the pocket. The gold lace belt is in good condition. The other leather belt has a crinkled surface and there is wear to the buckle finish. The visor cap has a dirty sweatband and the chin strap is perishing. The beret is in good condition. One of the epaulettes has slightly crushed bullions, otherwise both are in good condition. The tin is rust pitted and the hinges are broken. The bicorn hat has some wear to the inner brim and the bullion trims are a little tarnished. The tin has some rust pitting.
