Taxidermy: A European Brown Bear Skin Rug (Ursus arctos arctos), circa 1900-1920, attributed to Rowland Ward, a juvenile skin rug with head mount, limbs outstretched, nose to tail 152cm, across the forelimbs 164cm, backed onto typical waxed cotton backing material with red scalloped felt border
This specimen would require a re-export licence to export from the UK, an import permit would be required into your chosen country, this is the responsibility of the buyer alone, Tennants Auctioneers do not offer any onward re-export or import licences. Historical restoration to the nose and mouth area.
We are happy to provide Condition Reports to Prospective Buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale.
We cannot guarantee a reply to any requests made within 48 hours of the start of the auction. The absence of a condition report from a lot does not mean that the lot is in perfect condition.
