Taxidermy: A Victorian Cased Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes), by James Hutchings of Aberystwith, 1860-1942, full mount with head turning sharply to the left with mouth slightly agape in alert pose, sat upon a large faux rock ledge with tail curled beneath, a young Rabbit prey laid beneath the front feet, amongst a natural setting of ferns and tall grasses, set against a pale blue watercolour painted backboard, enclosed within a typical three-glass ebonised table display case with gilded moulding raised upon four feet, 56cm by 30cm by 75cm
