Serial No.65698, cherry red with white binding, rosewood fingerboard with rectangular inlay, black scratchplate, two humbucker pick-ups, adjustable bridge, four control dials, three-way switch, and 'Gibson' inlayed on headstock, with serial number stamped on back of headstock as well as on label inside body (in manufacturers hard case)
The guitar was bought new by the vendor in 1963 at Jeavons of Percy Street, Newcastle-upon-Tyne and has had one owner since new. The only repair was to the selector switch and the bridge was replaced by another Gibson bridge. It was used extensively in Newcastle until 1968 when it was packed away until recently

Some wear to frets, frets some evidence of having been dressed previously, fingerboard has wear to wood between frets, various marks to back of neck with some paint/varnish missing, some damage to finish on back of headstock, some age related cracking to finish on body, has marks and wear from use/age, some damage to finish and wood on lower edge approx 20x8mm, top nut 42mm wide, serial stamped indistinctly to back of headstock.
