The Hudson Motor Car Co was founded in 1909 in the U.S with the first vehicles reaching our shores in 1912. However it was not until after the First World War that significant numbers of vehicles were imported, so much so that in 1927 a factory was built in Chiswick London to assemble the vehicles that were arriving in Knocked Down Form. English coachbuilders were on hand to produce special models built upon the imported chassis, to supplement the Detroit style bodies that were already available.

This particular car a very rare Drophead coupe built by Coachcraft Ealing has been with its current keeper since 1958. Fitted with a six cylinder side valve engine producing 21.6HP along with a stainless steel exhaust. Having covered around 27,000 miles since a body off restoration 1990-92 (some photo's included) the vehicle was then used for many years as a wedding car, hence the additional Airhorns that have been fitted to the front of the car and under the bonnet. The vehicle was also featured in an episode of Heartbeat. Included with the vehicle are numerous old M.O.T Certificates, Tax discs and four laminated photographs showing the vehicle in stripped down form during the restoration.
