The Volkswagen Beetle is a 2 door rear engine economy car and its initial build design was ordered by Adolf Hitler who wanted a cheap and simple car that could be mass produced for the new road network in his country.
Ferdinand Porsche was given the task of design and it remained virtually unchanged for its entire production life between 1938-2003 with over 21 million cars produced.
Production shifted from Germany to Mexico from 1978-2003.
This car is a Mexican built 1984 model and has had just 2 former keepers, in light blue with fabric trim and a low indicated mileage of 46551 still fitted with its original Blaupunkt period radio.
The interior is in lovely condition consistent with the indicated mileage.

The general body condition of the Beetle is very good. Points to note are that the bonnet has dents upwards on it as if it has been shut with too many items inside! The bonnet also has stone chips consistent with age and mileage. Both front and rear bumper chrome is very good. Small rust bubbles around both headlights. O/S/F wing has two rust bubbles next to top hinge. N/S/R wing has a very small crease and paint bubbles on the top edge. N/S/R Wing also has a small amount of surface rust to its lower edge. (And a small rust bubble half way up) O/S door has two dents near to the door handle. Both N/S and O/S running board/sill areas have slight corrosion especially to the rear edges near to the jacking points. Floor sections appear to be very straight and sound but are heavily covered with under seal so unable to thoroughly check.
