A Synthetic Ruby, Purple Stone and Split Pearl Brooch
realistically modelled as an insect, with an oval cut and cushion cut purple stone body, round cabochon synthetic ruby eyes, and wings set throughout with split pearls, in yellow claw settings
measures 5.6cm by 2.2cm
Sold for £420
Estimated at £250 - £300
The brooch is in fair condition with small chips to each of the four gemstones. Due to the limitations of the settings, the identification of the purple stones is undeterminable. It fastens with a pin and C-hook catch. It is stamped '15CT' and in our opinion would test as gold. Gross weight 7.8 grams. CR made 01.08.23.
