Abstract in black, white and red - covered in a thin layer of surface dirt. Small to medium sized brown brown spots throughout. Small nick to surface lower edge left of centre. Areas of cracquelure to the upper left hand area of the black pigment with associated losses and paint lifting in places. The same issues apply to the smaller area of black pigment closer to the left hand side edge and within the black paint in general. There are a number of losses within the white paint in the upper left hand area. Otherwise in a reasonable state of preservation. The companion- covered in a layer of surface dirt, paint is cracking and flaking in numerous places, especially to lower right hand edge and upper left hand edge. The canvas is lightly loose on the stretcher. Otherwise in a reasonable state of preservation. Not glazed.
