A Large 19th Century Log Cabin Block Cotton Patchwork Reversible Quilt, incorporating a variety of printed cottons in red, purple, pastels, floral, checks, stripes, with a strippy design to the reverse, labelled with a handwritten tag 'Thomas William Dunning 1885', '220cm by 280cm,
The Log Cabin block is one of the most popular patchwork patterns, it symbolized home, warmth, love and security, with the centre square pieced in red to represent the hearth, the focal point of life in a cabin or home.

Some slight discolouration and fading to the front. Reverse strippy side has numerous small stains and discolouration, and a couple of small holes.
