A George V Silver Inkwell and Goliath Pocket-Watch
by Walker and Hall, Sheffield, 1933

of capstan form, the hinged cover gimbal-mounted and with a goliath pocket-watch, with Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, the base engraved with an inscription, with wood base
20cm diameter

The inscription reads 'Rufford and Adjacent Hunts Steeplechase Given by the Duke of Portland to the Winner Won by Major L. B. Holliday's "Tally Ho" May 4th 1935'.

The timepiece is an 8 day timepiece according to the label on the dial, though has not been testing for running time. Hands setting correctly. Movements winding smoothly and in going order. The enamel dial looks clean, with no cracks and no chips. The dial is approximately 60mm diameter. 

Fully marked on base and further marked on rim below timepiece. There is some minor wear to the marks but each is legible. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. Ther are some very minor dings.
