A Diamond Brooch, circa 1900, with later pearl choker, the lozenge shaped diamond set brooch with an old cut diamond of approximately 2.80 carat centrally, within a border of diamonds, to a scrolling outer frame, set with old cut diamonds throughout, residual diamond weight 3.25 carat approximately, detachable from the brooch pin for use as a central panel on a three strand cultured pearl choker necklace, the 45:46:49 off-round pearls knotted to a bar catch, brooch measures 4.2cm by 3.7cm, choker length 33.8cm see illustration

. The items are in good condition although we cannot guarantee the integrity of the string. The brooch fastens with a pin and hook catch. The choker fastens with a split-pin and barrel catch. The central diamond measures; 8.71mm x 8.79mm x 5.24mm. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour H/I/J, clarity SI1/SI2/I1/I2. Brooch weight (complete) 13.3 grams, choker weight (complete) 69.8 grams. CR made 8th October 2019
