The Panther West Winds Car Company was founded by Bob Jankel in 1972 and specialised in building unusual cars. The Panther Kallista was built using an aluminium body shell and was available with 1.6 or 2.8 Ford engines initially until Ford's engine's shifted to 2.8i and 2.9i, around 1437 Kallista's were built between 1982-1990.
This car was built under licence from the United Artists Corporation and a letter contained within the vehicles history file shows that the vehicle was as a competition prize provided by a Travel Company and was won in November 1983 and delivered in March 1984 to its first keeper who used it for charity work around Europe. The car then changed hands several times before it was bought as a surprise 21st birthday present, that owner then sold the vehicle to its current keeper in 1993.
It was the first pink car to be produced by Panther and there is a photo album showing the vehicle heading down the production line at the factory.
The car still presents very well due to having only covered 17,872 miles from new backed up with nearly every MOT certificate, the luggage rack bumpers etc were re-gold plated in 1996 at a cost of over £2,700 due to showing their age however they are now starting to show their age again. The car does come complete with a couple of dents on the bonnet top received at a promotional event when a lady was photographed on top of the car, the current keeper decided not to have them removed as it is part of the cars history.
The history file with the vehicle contains numerous invoices for parts, old tax disc's etc.
Also included with the sale is a large collection of Pink Panther related items including full size costume etc, too much to list, a brand new red hood and tonneau cover should the owner decide to change the colour.

The overall condition of the vehicle is very good having covered a low mileage and garaged since 1993. The gold plating on all of the vehicle is in need of re-plating and the bonnet is dented on the top. The seats are black fabric and are in fine shape having seat covers fitted for many years.
