The Bentley T series produced by Bentley Motors Limited was produced between 1965-1980 and made its debut at the Paris Motor Show in 1965, initially available as a four door saloon and then a long wheel base saloon. A very small number of two door saloons were produced with coachwork by James Young and HJ Mulliner Park Ward. A two door convertible was then launched in late 1967.

This car is one of just eighty nine right hand drive examples and was ordered new by a Mr S P Thompson of Bishop Auckland, the chassis was completed by Rolls Royce in June 1966 and then sent to HJ Mulliner for completion of the body work. Delivered on Christmas Eve 1966 and registered 01/01/1967 with personal number SPT 1E which has been re assigned to the vehicle and is non transferable.

The vehicle was specified with green leather interior which is still in fantastic order throughout and very unusual optical lenses were fitted to the smaller instruments as Mr Thompson did not want to have to use glasses to see the instrumentation whilst driving.

The copy of the original build sheet shows that the vehicle was ordered in velvet green over shell grey and the paint work is in very good order, having had a lower half respray in its original colour due to lines appearing after years of polishing. The paint shop who carried out the respray believe these vertical lines to have been caused by heaters in HJ Mulliners paint shop that had dried the paint in different stages and over the years they have shown through.

The car spent some of its early life in Canada returning in 1974 when it was re-registered as DNP 279N. After a battle with the DVLA later on in the cars life it was reunited with its SPT 1E registration mark.

MOT certificates dating back to the late 80's show that the vehicle has covered very few miles.

The only known fault with the vehicle at present is that the passenger front window electric motor requires replacement (spares can be purchased readily).

This really is a beautiful vehicle and deserves first hand inspection.

The vehicle is sold with the spare parts listed in the condition report and period picnic accessories.
