The Daimler DB18 was produced by Daimler from 1939 to 1953 and featured an enlarged 2522 CC version of the overhead valve six cylinder engine first introduced in 1933.

Numerous coach-built body styles were available with standard catalogue models by Hooper (formal) and Barker (drop head coupe's) some customers had their own bodies commissioned as the car was available as a chassis only model.

This car is a DB18 sports special drop-head coupe with coach-work by Barker, fitted with cream leather front bench seat and sideways facing single rear seat.

Reputed to have been in the same family between 1967-2008 and still retaining its original registration number: LLD 11.

The vehicle has been restored to a high standard by its current keeper by stripping the car down to bare metal (photographs included) but does require some minor work for the perfectionist.

The pre-selector gearbox does struggle at times to engage reverse and would require further investigation.
