Provenance: Bramshill House Police Training College, Hampshire.
Record books show "The Secretary of the Police College at Hendon dated July 6th 1939 for sixteen candelabra to be sent on completion to Maj. JA Ferguson, Commandant’s House, Metropolitan Police College, Aerodrome Road, Hendon, London NW9".
The cash books show that the cost of the order was £20? and paid in September 1939.

Auction: 20th Century Design, 15th Jun, 2024
On offer in the June 20th Century Design Sale will be the Michael Claxton Collection, an extraordinary collection of over 350 pieces of British pottery put together between 1974 and 2024, the majority of which were purchased directly from the potters. Potters represented in the collection include David Leach, Richard Batterham, David Roberts, Philip Marston, and Jim Malone.
The sale will also include a good private collection of furniture by Stanley Webb Davies, a fine large Lancastrian Lustre Vase by Gordon Forsyth for Pilkington's Tile & Pottery Co, and a good range of Mouseman and the Yorkshire Critters furniture and furnishings.
