each piece stamped with bamboo and birds on a matted ground, comprising: a hand-mirror; a hair-brush; clothes-brush and a comb

The brushes and mirror stamped 'Hungchong & Co' and with Chinese character mark. The comb marked with maker's mark HC and Chinese character mark. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the high points. The comb is rather warped and doesn't fit flush into the silver mount. The bristles on both brushes have wear and discolouration.
