Assorted 18th and 19th Century European Textiles, including an 18th century needlework panel, two lengths of French wool self patterned with a wood grain design, length of a red floral textures fabric, and blue and gold fabric woven with griffins; Eastern Costume and Textiles including a Turkish cream wool cape with embroidered detailing, Japanese blue silk panel woven with silver, and a fragment of Japanese cotton, Turkish fuschia and silver coverlet, Syrian silk head scarf, Indian sari and other items; Fulani African conical shaped straw hat, with tan leather mounts and leather chin strap; a similar hat, possibly Indonesian; Samoan Tapa cloth, worked on bark, painted in decorative square panels with a central star, 150cm by 135cm; and another of similar design, 155cm by 155cm; early 20th century Tibetan Tanka, painted with a central multi-face deity, on a lotus petal pedestal stand, with an orange silk edging and blue brocade mount, 63cm by 100cm; Other Items include a three piece fancy dress costume, pair of black and white fancy dress trousers and hat, red cross nurses uniform etc (two boxes)

 Works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. We accept no liability for the opinions expressed in any Condition Report.

Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
