each circular and on tapering panel feet, with gadrooned border and engraved with ribbon-tied oak leaf and acorn-heightened reeded band, centring later engraved initials and motto, each further later engraved underneath with a presentation inscription
the salver 32.5cm diameter, the waiters 20.5cm diameter, 57oz 1dwt, 1,774gr (3)
The inscriptions read 'The Gift of Friends to Mr Wardrop for Services Rendered Them This Salver was acquired by W. Euing, on the death of his Cousin Miss Wardrup in May 1860 and is now Presented by him to Daniel Crawford, a near relative of the Wardrup Family August 1870'.

Each fully marked underneath. The marks are generally clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the engraving and high points. The centres have been erased and re-engraved and with some unevenness in the surface.
