Natural History: A Replica of an Extinct Elephant Bird Egg (†Aepyornis maximus), a high quality large replica egg, presented upon a turned wooden stand, egg dimensions 28cm by 21cm, overall height including stand 37cm. The extinct elephant bird, Aepyornis maximus, laid the largest bird egg known, with a bulk weight equal to 10,000 hummingbird eggs.
