A Circa 1830-40 Chinese Wooden Brisé Fan, Qing Dynasty, lacquered in gold, one side a different shade of gold to the other. On both sides the scene presented is of family activities outside on a terrace, details emphasised in different shades of pink and brown, with some writing in Chinese to the right of centre recto/verso. The tips have particularly delicate paintings of birds and flowers, the gorge to both sides have flowers and one has the addition of a duck. The guards feature a large figure in addition to tiny flowers. Nineteen inner sticks, silk ribbon. Guard length 20cm. Together with basic original box
