Taxidermy: A Cased Very Large Northern Pike (Esox lucius), by Barry Williams, Taxidermist, Cannock, Staffordshire, a very large cast of a Northern Pike, mounted in a naturalistic setting amidst reeds, weeds and grasses, set above a pebbled river bed, mounted against a painted pale blue backdrop, enclosed within a typical ebonised bow-fronted three-glass display case with verre eglomise border, 133cm by 29cm by 52cm, bearing taxidermist's full paper trade label to verso, this very large specimen is a cast of the largest Northern Pike ever mounted by John Cooper & Sons, Radnor Street, London, weighing a colossal 42lbs, this is No.2 of a limited edition of 10 casts taken, see Fred Bullers "Domesday Book of Mammoth Pike".
