A George V Silver Regimental Frame
by Carrington and Co., London, 1911

oblong and with textured finish, the top arched and applied with the badge of the Lancashire Fusiliers, the sides applied with ribbons engraved with the names of campaigns from Dettingen to the Relief of Ladysmith, the base further applied with the sphinx badge and engraved with an inscription, with wood back, easel lacking
24cm wide

Provenance:
Sold by Order of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers to Benefit the Fusiliers' Aid Society (13 January Jewellery, Watches and Silver sale, lots 2273-2307 and Antiques and Interiors sale, 5 January 2024 lots 1-16).

The inscription reads 'Presented by Captain C. O. Ibbetson On Promotion'.

Fully marked on side. Further stamped on the back with silversmiths name. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the high points, the engraving and the textured finish. There is some pitting to the surface. The easel is lacking. There is some bruising and dings overall.
