Taxidermy: Polar Bear Skin (Ursus maritimus), circa 1960, Povirnituq, Quebec, Canada, a large adult skin rug with head mount, mouth agape, limbs outstretched, backed onto canvas backing material with black serrated felt border, nose to tail 263cm, across the forelimbs 261cm, across the rear limbs 233cm

. some discolouration to the fur on the back - also to the back of the head - front left and rear left all claws remain - front right paw only one full claw remains - rear right paw zero claws remain - plastic jaw and tongue set - filler around lower gum line deteriorated - requires some restoration to gum line upper and lower - peri-mortem scar to top of nose. 22/10/20
