of square section and on tapering feet, the sides stamped in the chinoiserie-style with panels of foliage and flowers on a matted ground, the hinged cover similarly chased, with reeded scroll handle

Fully marked underneath. The marks are generally clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There are some bruises, particularly noticeable to the cover which is slightly pushed down on the hinge side.
