A Victorian Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, second type, awarded to 904 CORPL.WM.TAYLOR. COAST BDE. R.A., together with related research material including a National Archives copy of his Discharge Certificate dated 19th February 1869.
Footnote:- William Taylor was born in Lisburn, County Antrim. A weaver by trade, he attested for the Royal Regiment of Artillery on 5th December 1846 aged 19 years and retired at the rank of Sergeant Major in 1869 after serving for over 22 years. He is also listed as serving in a secondary unit - the Durham Artillery Militia.
