A Rare Early William IV Silver Lancet-Case, by Sampson Mordan, London 1836, tapering oval section and with hinged cover, engraved with foliage and flowers, centring on one side engraved initials, the hinged cover opens to reveal three tortoiseshell and steel lancets, 6cm high

. Fully marked under base and part marked inside cover. The marks are clear. The steel blades of the lancets are each stamped with differing indistinct cutler's marks. There is some very minor surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There is a very minor pin dent on the cover. There are some cracks and scuffs to the tortoiseshell handles on the lancets. The lancets are differing shapes and so may be replaced.
