A German Waffen SS NCO’s M.1943 Type Tunic to the 1st SS-Panzer-Division, for the rank of Unterscharfuhrer, with machine sewn insignia comprising cuffband, arm eagle, collar patches with SS runes, slip-on shoulder straps with machine embroidered ‘LAH’ monogram on white piping and silver braid, the buttonhole looped with the ribbon for a 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class, and with loops for another combat award to the left breast pocket, with metal waist belt hooks, the grey rayon type lining with ‘SS-BW’ clothing factory stamp & size stamps. (Measurements = Chest 104cm (41"); Inside sleeve 45cm (18"); Nape to hem 66cm (26"))

Highlights of the Militaria section include an interesting collection of items relating to Colonel Alwyn de Blaquiere Valentine Paget, a Gentleman at Arms (bodyguard) to King Edward VII, a Second World War RAF Sector Clock, used in operations' rooms to aid track and intercept enemy aircraft over Britain and two collections of badges, buttons and insignia. A good offering of Ethnographica in the sale is lead by a 19th Century Australian Aboriginal Parrying Shield, from the Lower Murray River Region.
