Dao 1 - weighs 2137g, width of back of guard 6mm, width of back half way down 4mm, pommel slightly loose. Dao 2 - weighs 1202g, width of back at guard 5mm, width of back half way down 3mm, no moveable parts. Both swords believed to be 20th century. The curved sword has a collectors labels 'C Hedemann' on the guard. Executioner's sword - blade with patched of light rusting overall, particularly near guard, wrapped grip poor, pommel slightly loose. Two handed dao - blade with patches of light rust, painted finish to grip worn, parts of woven string binding to ring pommel broken and lacking.

We are happy to provide Condition Reports to Prospective Buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale.

We cannot guarantee a reply to any requests made within 48 hours of the start of the auction. The absence of a condition report from a lot does not mean that the lot is in perfect condition.
