A 19th Century Japanese High Court Tachi, the unsigned 70cm blade with wide billowing hamon, Horimono dragon to one side opposing two narrow fullers, with diagonally incised one piece copper habaki, the same hilt with copper "Cigar Band" middle mount set with brass Tokagowa mons, with engraved copper kashira and shitogi tsuba, the gold tea dust lacquer saya with a central maroon band decorated with gilt mons, the copper hangers with foliate fretwork decoration set with brass Tokagowa mons, with suede wrapped hanging strap and tassel cords
