A Remington 1858 New Model Army Single Action Six Shot Percussion Revolver, circa 1862-63, .44 calibre, the 20.5cm octagonal browned steel barrel with screw-in fore-sight, the top flat stamped PATENTED SEPT.14. 1858/ E.REMINGTON& SONS, ILION., NEW YORK. U.S.A./ NEW-MODEL, the underside stamped 33658, with creeping-style loading lever, brass trigger guard, walnut grip scales with inspector's with inspector's mark to the left side, all metal parts stamped W, 35cm; four Pieces of American Civil War Period Ephemera, comprising a Discharge Certificate to Private Patrick Walpole of Captain Mullikin's Company (K) of the 35th Regiment of Foot Volunteers dated 25th August 1862; a carte de visite; a Bank of Lansingburgh deposit receipt for $350 to Amanda Hanland, dated Oct. 19 1864; and a very interesting broadsheet newspaper The Genius of Liberty by E G Roddy, The Union and Equality of the States, Uniontown, PA., March 20, 1862, Volume 2, Number 7 (5)

Revolver - Action works, metalwork with a russet finish, minor scratches to the extremities, bruising to the right grip.
Bank receipt is fragile and has a small tear to the centre - no losses. Newspaper is stained and a little raggy to the fold, but quite legible.
